Maine Grains’ mission is to “provide a strong, positive community impact by creating jobs, improving land utilization, focusing on a holistic food chain, enabling farm-to-table benefits and serving as a successful model of local economic growth.” GrandyOats is a finalist within the ‘Snacks’ category for their Super Hemp Blend Coconola. Selected from 1,385 entries to this year’s 10th annual Good Food Awards, the finalists make up 403 products representing 42 states who have passed vetting for category-specific sustainability awards.
The Good Food Awards, hosted by the Good Foods Foundation, is one of the only national initiatives to recognize food companies who excel in taste while at the same time are leaders in sustainability initiatives. The Good Food Awards celebrate our favorite kinds of products here at FMI Emerge: delicious, authentic, and responsibly produced. Criteria to apply vary by industry, however basic rules state that entries should be made without GM ingredients, using responsibly animal husbandry, without the use of artificial ingredients, and crafted in the USA.
Congratulations to Maine Grains and GrandyOats, who truly encompass the passionate, entrepreneurial spirit of FMI Emerge!
